How much
- Adult upper limit: 150 mg a day from food and supplements together. Source: Reg. (EU) 2021/51 (adults).
- Children's doses are set by age, and some ingredients are for adults only.
Who should not take it, or should check first
- Not suitable. The EU authorisation covers adults only and there are no safety data in pregnancy.
Medicines and other supplements
- A clinician checks first. Resveratrol inhibits platelet aggregation and may add to the bleeding risk of antithrombotics.
Your plan is checked against every medicine you tell us about. If you take a medicine, ask your pharmacist or doctor before starting a new supplement.
